Meet the speakers taking the stage at the DFW Golf Show this year. This list is updated frequently in the weeks leading up to the show, so check back soon for even more great instructors!

David Brinker

David is the President of Mid-America Golfing Events and 10-time RE/MAX World Long Drive Finalist. David won the 2012 RE/MAX World Long Drive title (Legends Division) and has won multiple additional U.S. and international long-drive championships. His long drive journey began in 2004 at the Long Drivers of America tour Qualifying School in Dallas. He captured the interest of seasoned long drivers by earning his LDA tour card on his first attempt. He recorded the third-longest drive of that competition with a distance of 399 yards. In addition, David is a regular at the United States Senior Long Drive Championships. David has a flair for bringing excitement and entertainment to both corporate and charitable events. Through his efforts, he has helped raise in excess of $2,000,000 for charitable events during his long-drive tenure.

Anthony Broussard

Anthony Broussard is the founder of Pure Swing Golf, an indoor golf training facility, in Dallas, Texas. Anthony played collegiate golf at The University of North Texas and has over eight years of high-level professional playing experience, including playing in the 2014 U.S. Open at Pinehurst, winning the 2014 Texas State Open, and winning three other professional tournaments. Neil Gilman

Neil Gilman joined the TGA in 2015 and currently serves as the tournament director.  Among other notable proficiencies, Neil is highly skilled in running the TGA’s northern region Mid-Amateur events. Originally from Plymouth Meeting, Pa., Neil first broke into the world of golf at some of the premier country clubs in Philadelphia. After an internship with the Golf Association of Philadelphia, the 2013 Penn State University graduate moved to the Greater Dallas Area. Katie Harris

Katie Harris joined The First Tee of Greater Dallas in March 2012. She began competitive golf play in high school, which culminated in a state championship for Salado High School in 2006 during her junior year. Katie went on to play college golf for the University of Texas at Tyler. While competing nationally with the golf team, she also received her BA in English Literature and teaching certification for high school classrooms. In the fall of 2016, she completed her Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of North Texas. She completed requirements to achieve Recognized Program Director status with The First Tee Home Office in the fall of 2017. She hopes to complete her LPGA Certification and achieve her Class A status in 2019.

Adrian Kelley

Adrian Kelley is the Center Manager and Certified Personal Coach at GolfTEC Montgomery Plaza. Adrian has taught over 2,000 golf lessons with GolfTEC and has over 15 years of playing and teaching experience in the golf industry. He also currently competes on the Fairway Golf Tour and in NTPGA Section Events. Let Adrian fix what’s ailing your swing!

John Kursel

John Kursel is the Center Manager and Director of Instruction at GOLFTEC Park Cities. A native of Milwaukee, John played four years on the mini tours, was a member of the Wisconsin PGA Royal Cup team in 2006 and won a Wisconsin Section PGA event that same season. A PGA Class-A member, John has taught over 12,000 lessons for GOLFTEC, and won the Outstanding Achievement in Instruction award with GOLFTEC in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016 and 2017. Jim Spagnolo

Jim Spagnolo has been the Texas Golf Association’s Communications Manager since November of 2003. Prior to working for the TGA, Jim was the Marketing Director for Mark Brooks Golf, Inc., a golf course design and management company based in Fort Worth. Originally from Selinsgrove, Pa., Jim in 1978 was awarded a scholarship to The University of Texas at Austin and earned All-American honors while a member of the Longhorn Men’s Golf Team. He is one of only three people to have won both the Pennsylvania Junior and Pennsylvania Amateur Championships. He has played in 13 USGA National Championships and qualified for the match play portion of the championship in 10 of those events. His best finish is in the U.S. Mid-Amateur where he reached the quarterfinals in 1995 and 2001 and semifinals in 2000.  Please visit Jim and the other TGA employees at the Texas Golf Association booth for free gifts, raffle chances and new 2019 membership benefits.

John Wagner

John Wagner is the center manager and director of instruction at GolfTEC North Dallas. A Titleist Performance Institute Certified Level-3 Golf Instructor, John has worked with two of the top-five instructors in the world, played college golf at SMU, and won an event on the Gateway Professional Tour. One of the region’s top pros, John was awarded the Outstanding Achievement in Instruction in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015, 2016 and 2018. Let John get your swing dialed in just in time for spring!
